What are the advantages of an au pair?
Raising children is a full time job!
Add to that a little household and possibly also an employment.
... and then a child gets a fever and the entire logistics of childcare collapses again for a few days.
How do I find a quick solution that is as stress-free as possible for my sick child, but also tolerable for my superiors or clients?
An au pair brings maximum peace and relaxation when looking after the children, especially when you have to be flexible.
The au pairs belong to the household, know the daily routines and rituals in the family and are not "strangers" to the children.
Ideally, the au pairs are their children's favorite playmates anyway.
The separation is not that difficult when the parents go to work or sometimes want to go out in the evening!
An au pair ensures that you have maximum quality time for your children and also for your partnership.

What are the disadvantages of an au pair?
Of course, the prerequisites for an au pair must be present, as well as having their own room and the opportunity to use a bathroom.
The family's own privacy is of course affected. you have to be aware that even on Sunday mornings there is always some "stranger" sitting at the table.
It also happens, of course, that kitchen appliances do not always find their original place immediately or that one child's clothes are found in the other child's closet.
However, one should take these little search games with humor and give the young people time to gradually learn all the peculiarities that exist in every household.
Please also consider that there are countries in which families do not have a dishwasher, washing machine or dryer!
It is also advisable to familiarize yourself with the culture of the country your au pair comes from in advance in order to avoid misunderstandings.
Please also be aware that the au pairs have no professional training in childcare. They all work to the best of their knowledge and belief and with the experience they have gained in their own country.
